Produced by Americans for the Arts, this report features the Chicago portion of the country’s most comprehensive economic impact study of the nonprofit arts and culture industry. The full study included data from 156 communities and regions, representing all 50 states. This Chicago portion of the research, supported by MacArthur, revealed that the nonprofit arts industry generated over $1 billion of organization and audience expenditures in the city.
